Dosa is a savory, thin and crispy crepe made from fermented rice and lentil flour. Dosa occupy a substantial part of the South Indian diet and is also popular all over the Indian subcontinent.It can be made soft or crispy according to your preference Traditionally, dosa is served with a bowl of sambhar and coconut chutney.
Here is a quick guide to help you decide on a Dosa. Basically, there are three different bases that you can choose from: Dosa This is a thin and crispy, savory crepe. Rava Dosa This type is made from semolina, rice flour and plain flour and does not require fermentation. It has a grainy and net like texture and can be made soft or crispy according to your preference. Uttapam And lastly, this is more like a soft, savory pancake made with fermented batter and grilled until it is soft on the inside and crisp on the outside.
All of our dosas are served with: Sambhar It is a spiced vegetable-lentil soup. The different vegetables and the lentils with the spices and tamarind pulp make it super flavorful and definitely a treat. Coconut Chutney Freshly grated coconut tempered with spices and mustard seeds. Tomato-onion-peanut Chutney This is our signature chutney and is sweet and spicy with a sour undertone.
